WHO WE ARE?
We are a group of scholars and practitioners of the Doctrine of Spirits.
We started our studies on April 2, 2008, driven by the desire to open a Spiritist Center, an objective achieved on April 2 , 2012. During the four years of preparation, we obtained guidance from the Plan Spiritual about how our jobs should be.
At first, we had to get rid of old postures to accept the changes that were being requested, among them, the application of REIKI as a practice for energy balance, both for the workers at home and for everyone who came to us. What initially seemed like a completely foreign procedure to what we were familiar with, over time, turned out to be an extraordinary exercise in giving. And, having ourselves been the ones most benefited by the systematic practice of REIKI, we also observed that the people who came to us left much better and more optimistic after the sessions, always returning.
We followed the guidelines, which included studies in the field of Apometry and Phytotherapy. No Spiritist Center is complete if it does not bring help to the most needy. In this way, our work in the area of social assistance is to distribute, twice a month – on the second and fourth Sunday – clothes, food and hygiene kits to homeless people.
We spread the Doctrine of the Spirits through lectures on spiritism, messages brought from the Spiritual Plan and the Children's Evangelization Course. Our internal works in the field of mediumship are the result of the meeting of reincarnated spirits who assumed, on another plane of existence, before reincarnating, the commitment to exercise mediumship in the service of others. Our goal is to help those who seek us out, as well as to clarify the Doctrine of the Spirits, thus encouraging those who frequent our house to have a committed relationship with their Inner Reform process through reflection and active exercise, as well as for the donation and disciplined conduct with the work carried out by the house.
We chose the name SEDA – Sociedade Espírita Dois de Abril – to pay tribute to the great benefactor and promoter of the Doctrine of the Spirits, Francisco Cândido Xavier, since this was the date of his birth. We have the support of the Grupo de Amparo Fraternidade dos 500, a plethora of spirits that support us on this journey. Our main objective is to console those who seek us and, for that, we count on Jesus.
At SEDA, the worker is an absolute priority. So, in each group, there is always a stretcher available to attend to any silky that needs it. In SP, care is exchanged, that is, the worker from one group is treated by another, aiming to protect the worker within his group. It is also common for the same worker to be part of more than one group. Finally, it is a basic rule of the house that all workers are Reiki practitioners.
We are a Christian house.
